Slovakia’s Dušan S. Jurkovič

On August 11, 2018, to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of one of Czechoslovakia’s most distinguished architects, the Czech and Slovak Cultural Center hosted a presentation entitled Rooted in Time: An Architect for All Seasons Slovakia’s Dusan Jurkovic. Board member Mark Dillon detailed Jurkovic’s life story, works and use of folk designs in hospitality design, public works, housing, monuments and cemetery designs in the Czech Republic, Moravia, Slovakia and Poland.
