The Czech and Slovak Cultural Center of Minnesota will be sponsoring the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival this year, which will be held from April 9-25, 2015! There will be two Czech films shown (see below), as well as films from many other cultures. As a member of the Czech and Slovak Cultural Center of Minnesota, you can purchase discounted tickets to the festival! Please consider joining the Czech and Slovak Cultural Center of Minnesota, so you can support two locally-based cultural organizations at the same time.

This year, the following Czech films will be shown:

Nowhere in Moravia (Díra u Hanušovic) – This film from the Czech Republic is a romantic comedy about a German teacher, Maruna, who runs a local pub. It doesn’t look like she’ll ever get married, since there are few suitable men in her small village. But one day, something unexpected happens. (IMDB, 2014).
