Come and join us for this long-overdue lecture and discussion to uncover some of the important aspects of being bilingual or multilingual in the US. Multilingualism can have many forms.  It may be a product of being brought up by parents who come from different countries or cultures, studying in a language in an immersion school, or having moved here from another country.  We will explore the benefits and also some of the challenges of being multilingual in the US and what we can do to maximize this opportunity.

Speakers: Elaine Tarone, PhD, Kendall King, PhD, and Ann Jurewicz, MA

Part 2: Panel Discussion, April 17, 2016, 2:30 PM

Part 3: Seal of Biliteracy, May 22, 2016, 2:30 PM
